Week 2 Project - Article Review

Hello, my name is Jess Bond and I am 29 years old.  I am currently teaching and coaching at the Lewis Central School District in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  I teach physical education at the high school level, health at the 6th grade level, and coach football and basketball.  I have been teaching and coaching for 5 years.  I graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Kinesiology.

I am not an expert in technology, but I think I will be okay.  I would say I am more of a PC type of guy.  I teach Physical Education, so I do not use technology in the classroom as much as other teachers do.  I hope that through this course, I can find useful ways of integrating it more into the PE classroom.  The version of Office I will be using is 2010

The reason I pursued a Master's from Peru State is because I have heard from others that PSC is a great place to take on-line courses that fit in well into a busy schedule.  There are also a few others from my school district that are currently enrolled with me.  They are a big reason why I am enrolled.  I think they will be a great learning group as we try to conquer this big task.  I plan on using this degree to become a better teacher.  I believe it is important for teachers to continue to learn and better themselves as educators.
